IN other news, police are looking for a man who damaged a cab outside the Pier Hotel on Wednesday night. Officers said the man had been drinking at the pub with friends and left about 9.40pm to get into a cab.

A fight broke out when he apparently jumped the queue and he hurled a glass, smashing a window on the maxi taxi.

The man fled the scene.

Police have cautioned a 17-year-old after complaints about his pranks with a blow-up doll and a slingshot.

Officers received complaints on Wednesday afternoon about youths firing a slingshot along Waterfall Way at Fernmount and Bellingen.

An off-duty paramedic also told police she had been struck by an inflatable doll thrown from a car while she rode her pushbike.

Police found the car in Bellingen’s Church Street and issued a stern warning to the teenager.
