Would you trust this mad lot with your dinner?

THE Vikings Are Coming or Ragnarok Around the Clock is the story of Erik Shortsword, our hero, who is on a great quest to end the Age of Ragnarok; to end the looting, pillaging and plundering associated with this age.

Together with his father, Bjorn Bigbummer and his slightly dopey offsider Thork Longsword, they travel to the far-off land of Mystral in an effort to complete their mission.

Erik and his band of players must contend with many obstacles on their way.

Will they win the help of the Valkyrie and the Goddess Freya?

Will they succeed and bring the Age of Ragnarok to an end?

It has been a while since the Windmill Players were onstage in Coffs, and this is the first time they will "play silly buggers" at a different venue.

"The Sawtell Golf Club is a great venue for dinner theatre," said director and creator of the show Pat Slattery. "Coffs Coast Event Catering makes a top meal and with drinks at club prices and some wacky entertainment, how can you go wrong?"

For those who have seen the Windmill Players at the Windmill Restaurant, you will recognise the faces of your regular favourites including Pat Slattery, Chris Gooley, Susan Hood-Korner, Beckley Vincent and David Reiner, as well as a few faces new to dinner theatre from some of the hits at the Jetty Memorial Theatre.

The show would make a great Christmas party for workmates and friends alike, or for anyone looking for a great feed and a good laugh.

Dates: November 28, December 5, 6, 12, 19, 20 and a matinee Sunday December 7.
