John Worsfold at Adelaide Crows for short time

JOHN Worsfold says he is not interested in returning to a full-time coaching role at this stage and is purely helping Scott Camporeale find his feet at the helm of the Adelaide Crows following the death of Phil Walsh.

Worsfold will be the Crows' coaching director with Camporeale taking the reins as interim coach.

The former West Coast coach said he had only recently spoken to his former assistant Walsh about sitting in the Adelaide coaching box later this season.

"When I spoke to Phil last week we spoke about the pathway he wanted to go down with the club and now it's all about getting the players and coaches to continue down that pathway," he said.

Meanwhile, Essendon captain Jobe Watson is set to miss the rest of the season after shoulder surgery.

Watson hurt his shoulder against Hawthorn in round 13 and did more damage in the 110-point defeat to the Saints on the weekend.
