Woman backs into neighbour's home

EMERGENCY service crews were called to stabilise the garage roof of a Toormina house after a neighbour’s car careered through the fence and crashed into the brick home.

The accident happened in Alleena Drive yesterday shortly after 2pm.

It’s believed a woman accidentally backed through the Colorbond fence, while leaving her driveway and collided with the wall of the home.

Paramedics treated the driver at the scene for shock.

An assessment was made of the structural damage to the house, while fire crews and the State Emergency Service used supports to stop the roof from collapsing.

The two vehicles damaged in the accident were eventually freed from the home and towed for repair.

Police were called to investigate the incident, describing it as nothing more than an unfortunate accident.
