Woolgoolga fun runs set

MARK the athletic diary for the weekend of April 5 and 6 when the Woolgoolga community fun runs are held.

The historic 33rd annual Forest Footrace and Seaside Scamper will again attract runners from all over the region.

Organisers added the Tiny Tot Trot over 1km around 18 years back while the more recently added Beach Bash will be conducted for the sixth time.

The 11.2km Forest Footrace is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, starting near Apex Park at 3pm.

The other events get underway on Sunday from the Beach Reserve, starting with the Scamper at 8am with registrations at the Marine Rescue Hall.

The 2km Beach Bash follows at 8.45am with the Tiny Tot Trot to finish proceedings at 9am.

A presentation will be held for the three Sunday runs by 11am.

Entry forms are available from The Pizza Place, Woodseys Wheels, Robina's Hair Boutique, Magpie Books, Top Town Hardware and Woolgoolga Bottle Shop.

While a comprehensive range of individual and team awards are on offer there will be a large number of lucky draw prizes provided by the local sponsors with vouchers from McDonalds for the younger participants.
