Injuries cause anti-climax

AN injury to Woolgoolga goalkeeper Jess Wright 10 minutes after half time saw the top of the top of the table clash between Urunga and Woolgoolga abandoned.

Wright was injured in a one-on-one situation where she suffered a head knock and complained of a tingling in her legs that saw an ambulance called.

By the time the ambulance had left the field of play the referee was left to with no option but to abandon the match due to poor light.

The game will be replayed at a later date.

In the 55 minutes of football that were played Urunga were proving a class above and had raced out to a 3-0 lead by the break.
