Woodworkers exhibition

COFFS Harbour mayor Cr Keith Rhoades will open the Mid North Coast Woodworkers 2009 Exhibition of Fine Woodwork on Friday.

The show will open at noon on Friday in the Cavanbah Centre in Harbour Drive and the opening ceremony will be at 2pm.

Entry to the exhibition is free and leading woodworkers will be demonstrating their skills as well as displaying the finished products.

The three days of the exhibition, which will close at 5pm on Sunday.

Alan Chapman will be demonstrating his intarsia work every day.

Roger Gifkins will be making jewellery boxes at 2.30pm on Friday; 9am and 1.30pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday.

Alan Williams will make band-saw boxes at 4pm on Friday, 10.30am Saturday, and 2.30pm Sunday.

Lindsay Dunn will be demonstrating wood turning at noon on Saturday and 10.30am on Sunday.

John Van Der Kolk will be sculpting in wood at 1pm on Friday, 4.30pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday.

Dave Jones will be making furniture at 3pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.
