Women filmed in change rooms: 100s of videos, pics online

BREAKING: Police have charged a man after he was allegedly caught filming women changing at a Sunshine Coast shopping centre on Saturday.

It will be alleged that around 1.30pm, a man entered a changing room of a beachwear store in a shopping centre on Eenie Creek Rd.

He was subsequently seen by a shopper putting his mobile phone over the top of the changing room wall to take photos of a woman who was changing in the cubicle next to him.

The shopper alerted staff who called police.

When police attended, a mobile phone was seized and examined.

On it, police located over 100 photographs and some videos depicting many different women in various stages of undress.

Many of the photographs appear to have been uploaded to a private Facebook account.

The photos were taken in November and December.

Women who used change rooms at either Noosa Civic or Sunshine Plaza between November 18 and December 10 may be able to assist police with their enquiries.

A 28-year-old British National man has been charged with 54 counts of recording in breach of privacy.

He is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
