Woman hospitalised after smash

A SMASH in suburban Coffs Harbour has caused minor delays and resulted in a trip to hospital for one commuter.

Police, paramedics and tow-truck crews were scrambled to Coramba Road, just east of Shephards Lane, about 10am today.

A police spokesman said the collision involved a Holden Astra and a Navara ute.

A woman was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus, where she was treated for minor injuries, the spokesman said.

The accident resulted in short delays for motorists and police traffic controllers managed to keep the road open using alternating lanes at the height of the operation.

Police inquiries into the cause of the accident are continuing.
