Woman dies in overnight South Grafton traffic incident
A REPORT will be prepared for the information of the coroner after the death of a woman riding a motorcycle at South Grafton.
About 5pm on Friday an 81-year-old woman was riding a Honda motorcycle south along Bligh Street.
At the intersection with Ryan Street her cycle and a west bound Toyota Landcruiser being driven by a 40-year-old man collided.
The woman was knocked from her motorcycle and suffered leg and pelvis injuries.
The other driver was not injured.
Police from Coffs Clarence Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The motorcycle will be seized for further forensic testing.
The woman was treated at the scene and conveyed to Grafton Base Hospital by ambulance paramedics in a critical condition but died shortly after 11pm.
Police investigations into the crash continue.
