Winter lawn bowls carnivals in sight

INTERNATIONAL bowlers Shane Garvey and David Ferguson head the entries for the $5700 Seaside Classic beginning at C.ex Woolgoolga Men's Bowling Club this Friday.

Spectators are in for a treat as the best from home and away battle over three days with $2400 going to the winner.

Bowlers play five games of two bowl triples with each playing two games of 25 ends on Friday and Saturday with a single game on Sunday morning.

Prize money will be allocated down to fourth place with a special amount for the best performed team on Sunday not qualifying for one of the major prizes.

Following the fifth and final game a lunch will be provided to all players before the allocation of awards.

Games commence around 9am each day.
