Winner scores $1 million for Christmas

AN IPSWICH man in his 60s says he will be able to wipe out all his Christmas bills after winning the $1 million first division prize in Monday night's Gold Lotto draw.

The winner, who wished to remain anonymous, initially had a little trouble coming to terms with the fact he was a new millionaire.

"It's sinking in now but I was walking around in circles this morning when I found out I was $1 million richer," he said.

The winning Monday Gold Lotto 24-game QuickPick entry was purchased from Booval Newsagency.
