Win $250 for nominating your favouritie business on Facebook

IF YOU have a favourite business, give it the thumbs-up and give yourself the chance of winning $250.

The Nationals Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser, has encouraged customers to nominate their favourite business for this year's I Love My Local Business Facebook competition.

"Now in its third year, this popular and fun competition is back to promote local businesses delivering a great service to consumers," Mr Fraser said.

"Small businesses are the backbone of our community.

"This competition is a great way for consumers to sing the praises of their favourite local business.

"Consumers can nominate their favourite because they go out of their way to do the right thing by their clients, show great innovation, make the best hamburgers in town or simply because they are big supporters of their local community.

"All you have to do is go to the NSW Fair Trading Facebook page and describe, in 60 words or less, what you love about your favourite local business."

Mr Fraser said an independent judging panel would decide on the winners from across the state.

By entering, consumers can win one of six prizes of $250.

Voting closes November 9.
