Wild seas lash the Coffs Coast

WILD seas poured over Coffs Harbour's south wall throughout Wednesday and Advocate photographer Rob Wright captured some dramatic images.

Waves crashed over the south wall as a large swell fuelled by a vigorous south to southwesterly airstream along the NSW coast hit the region.

Coffs Harbour City Council lifeguards have been vigilantly watching the water at Park Beach where they are patrolling and have advised swimmers not to enter the water while lifeguards aren't there.

Although the lifeguards advise the swell is expected to drop on Thursday, the message for swimmers is quite simply - No flags, no swim.
