Why, vandals?

MARK Danaher shakes his head whenever he thinks about the person who vandalised his $10,000 motorbike on the weekend.

“There's no need for this, it's pointless,” Mr Danaher said.

“They made a mess of it.”

Some time last Friday, callous vandals have taken to Mr Danaher's Kawasaki VN 1500 and inflicted more than $3500 worth of damage. The bodywork of his 10-year-old bike is criss-crossed with scratches and obscenities, scarring his 'pride and joy', and the fuel tank may have to be replaced due to the vandalism.

In an ironic twist, Friday night was the first time Mr Danaher had ever parked his Kawasaki outside of his garage.

“I parked out front because we're moving house and I thought she'd be safe because you have to walk up the driveway to get to it,” he said. “I had her out one night and this happens.”

Anyone with information about the vandalism can contact Coffs Harbour Police on 66520299.
