Why Tara won’t be the next Bachelorette

MATTY J eliminated fan favourite Tara from the top three in The Bachelor last night, igniting widespread backlash and countless campaigns for her to become the next Bachelorette.

Well, we hate to pile on with the misery, but that ain't gonna happen.

The Gold Coast nanny told news.com.au she has no intention of ever following in the footsteps of Sophie Monk, Georgia Love and Sam Frost - or doing any kind of reality TV dating show again.

"It's really hard and I don't ever want to do it again," she explained, adding that she simply wouldn't be able to go through the dating and elimination process.

"The way [the show] is, I wouldn't be strong enough to do it. I couldn't do anything where I had to let people down like that."

Hours before her elimination yesterday, Tara accidentally revealed to Hit93.5 Dubbo that she didn't make it to the final two, in what may be the biggest slip-up in Bachelor history.

While denying rumours she'd hooked up with a hot waiter on the show, she pointed out she'd only seen him once - when she'd run into him "the weekend I got eliminated".

Oops.

"That was real bad. I didn't realise what I'd said ... I'm just not good at this whole thing; it's not for me," she told news.com.au.

That gaffe is another reason why she won't do The Bachelorette.

"I'd be terrible - everyone would know the ending! I don't have it in me, to be honest."

Even if Tara had received the final rose from Matty J, she claims she wouldn't have fit into the Bondi local's "scene".

"I don't like that scene. I go to pubs where nobodies go ... they're dirty there, they're not in $500 attire with designer handbags and fake lips," she said.

While last night's breakup looked heartbreaking on TV, Tara insists it was just really awkward.

"I stood there for longer than what you [viewers] saw - it was more awkward than anything," she explained.

"You just stand there with the other girls are celebrating."

The Bachelor grand finale airs tonight at 7.30pm on Ten.
