When Myer Sunshine Coast will reopen

COAST residents will be able to shop at their local Myer soon as the Sunshine Plaza store trials its opening.

Myer Maroochydore will reopen from Friday joining Queensland Myer stores at North Lakes, Carindale, Chermside, Toowoomba and Townsville already back in business.

While Coast shoppers will be able to head through the doors on Friday morning, they still won't be able to partake in beauty appointments, intimate apparel fittings, suit fittings or shoe fittings.

The services will remain suspended until further notice to reduce close contact.

Myer's head office confirmed the reopening today, stating government measures across different states had been taken into account.

A statement from the retail giant said enhanced safety and cleaning measures had been implemented across stores including:

• Increased frequency of cleaning services across trial stores

• Protective items such as hand sanitiser stations, face masks and gloves available to team members

• Hand sanitiser available for customers

• Sneeze guards at registers to be progressively rolled out across the stores

• Social distancing measures of 1.5 metres between customers and team members, with clear signage across the stores

• Change rooms open with distancing and hygiene measures in place

• The monitoring of customer numbers in store

• Contactless payments
