Maggie's Christmas party

What: A Christmas party for every member of the family. There's kids entertainment with the Smiley's and face painting, Santa photos for kids, dogs and everyone else. At 12.45pm there will be a best dressed competition for the pups with a great prize for the winner plus specials happening all day.

Christmas Eve party at The Coffs

What: Looking for somewhere to meet friends, enjoy a night out and have a few beverages? Head on down to the Coffs Hotel for karaoke, local DJs and free entry.

Where: The Coffs Hotel.

When: Sunday from 7pm to 12.05am.

Benny Black Band and DJ Helmy

What: To celebrate Christmas Eve, the Sawtell Hotel will have the Benny Black Band playing from 4pm followed by DJ Helmy from 8.30pm until midnight. A courtesy bus will be available from 5pm.

Summerfest art exhibition

What: An exhibition showcasing works from the Coffs Harbour Creative Arts Group members across various disciplines including calligraphy, fibre art, acrylics, pastels, watercolour and more. All artworks are for sale.

Where: Coffs Harbour Showground Gallery.

When: Open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm until Monday, February 8.

Uptown markets

What: The only undercover market on the Mid North Coast and open rain, hail and shine every Sunday. Stall capacity reaches over 100 and the market has been trading non-stop since 1990.

What: Screenwave International Film Festival will kick off in early January with heart-racing adventure on the big screen and a warm welcome to locals for three weeks of film, networking, art and culture.

What: Don't miss the Australian comedy legend Austen Tayshus whose famous track Australiana is still, three decades after being released, the highest selling single in Australian recording history. He has performed over 10,000 shows in nightclubs, universities, comedy clubs, pubs and theatres throughout Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA, Fiji and Bali.

2017 Pantaenius Newport to Coffs Coast yacht race

What: The RMYC Broken Bay in association with Coffs Harbour Yacht Club has announced that the Pantaenius Newport to Coffs Coast Yacht Race will start in Pittwater on Wednesday, December 27. This will mark the 37th staging of the Coffs Harbour race which in its new format will be named the Pantaenius Newport to Coffs Coast Yacht Race.

Where: 30 Marine Drive, Coffs Harbour.

When: Thursday, December 28 running all day.
