What's on in Coffs this weekend

THERE'S plenty happening around the Coffs Coast this weekend.

Budding local tennis stars have their chance to shine, when McDonalds holds its 28th annual northern NSW open tennis tournament at the Westside Tennis Club on King Street.

Organisers are expecting big crowds and plenty of action. Come along and join in the fun on both Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of November.

Food and drinks are available.

Please contact Allan Pade on (02) 6652 7694 for start and finish times as well as any other information that you require.

If getting all hot and sweaty on a tennis court isn't your idea of a great weekend, how about a spot of deep sea fishing?

The Coffs Harbour Deep Sea Fishing Club is holding its Deep Sea Fishing Competition on Sunday between 9am and 5pm.

The fishing club is located near the Coffs Harbour Jetty.

Start and finish times and prices will vary so please contact the club on (02) 6652 1534.

And if you don't have time to spend a whole day out on the ocean, keep in mind the Deep Sea Fishing Competition is held on the third Sunday of every month.

For those who like to have their feet, or wheels, planted firmly on the ground,  the Sawtell and District BMX State of Origin is the next best option.

Watch as riders battle it out at the Hulberts Road BMX Track over two days, with the action to wrap up on Monday afternoon.

Contact Renee Graham on 0432 367 900 for start and finish times.

But if you're after a more relaxing weekend, the usual markets are always on around the region, including the Jetty and Harbourside markets.
