
Weather set to warm up as Spring arrives
TEMPERATURES are set to warm up in Toowoomba this week as the city officially welcomes Spring on Tuesday.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, a high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will continue to drift east, with a gradually weakening ridge extending along the Queensland east coast.
"A weak trough is expected to move across the southern half of the state on Monday before another ridge builds across the state in its wake from Tuesday, with a brief south-easterly change about the southeast on Tuesday and Wednesday," the Bureau said.
In Toowoomba today the temperature will reach a maximum of 23 degrees.
The mercury only dropped to a low of 8 degrees overnight.
Across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures will hit a high of 22 degrees, with lows between 9 and 11 degrees.
It'll be sunny to mostly sunny today and tomorrow, while on Wednesday and Thursday it'll be partly cloudy.
In Dalby it will be a top of 26 degrees today, while in Goondiwindi it will be 28, 22 in Stanthorpe and 25 in Warwick.
