Watch out for ATM bandits

THE world is a dangerous place and it has got a lot more dangerous with the arrival of a dangerous gang of ATM thieves here on the Coffs Coast.

Police late yesterday released an image of one of the alleged men involved with a warning to all residents to be on the alert when using bank ATM machines or even putting in a pin number in supermarkets or shops.

According to police this man is part of a group which raids people's bank accounts after watching them use their PIN numbers and stealing their keycards.

And if this isn't enough, we have also learnt of a gang of bitumen bandits conning Coffs Coast people out of hard-earned cash by offering a driveway makeover before making off with the cash.

Yes, it's a rough, tough world out there.

So be vigilant.
