Warning: Bridge work leads to road changes
TEMPORARY traffic changes are in place at Lawrence at the intersection of Weir and Ensbey roads and on Grafton St to allow work to progress to build the new bridge at Sportsmans Creek.
Utility service relocation work and widening of Grafton Street will be carried out between the side street north of Lawrence Tavern and the properties at the northern end of the street until late November 2016, weather permitting.
During the work, Grafton Street will be temporarily closed and access to all properties will be available. Motorists accessing properties south of Lawrence Tavern from Grafton Street will be detoured via the street north of Lawrence Tavern.
Work will be carried out Mondays to Fridays between 7am and 6pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, weather permitting.
To allow work to be carried out on the road approach to the new Sportsman Creek bridge, motorists accessing Weir Road will travel on a temporary side road from Monday, September 19 to late 2017, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to follow all temporary signage and traffic control measures.
