Wanted man arrested at Bowraville

A MAN is facing court after being arrested on a number of outstanding warrants at Bowraville on Tuesday afternoon.

About 2.30pm yesterday police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command, went to a house in the town, acting on information received from a metropolitan media outlet.

A 39-year-old man was arrested at the house and taken to Kempsey Police Station.

It will be alleged the man had a number of outstanding warrants.

The warrants were issued after the 39-year-old failed to appear in the Byron Bay Local Court last Thursday.

After being refused bail, he will appear in Kempsey Local Court on Wednesday.
