Wanted: A new Breakers coach

LAST year’s premiership coach Paul Butcher has stepped into the role of coaching the Coffs Rugby Breakers in a caretaking capacity.

Butcher took over the role when Ciaron Dunn stepped down as the Breakers coach last week.

A mutual decision was reached between Dunn and Coffs Rugby club president Richard Officer after Dunn had expressed the desire to move on to coaching in

Canberra in the near future.

“Ciaron will remain with the club in a training capacity and the club wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavours and thanks him for his service to the club,” Officer said.

The search for a new coach to take on the role with the reigning premiers is now on in earnest and the club is confident that an announcement on a new coach can be made within a week.
