Wallabies face anxious wait for Rob Simmons

WALLABIES coach Michael Cheika will name his team tomorrow for the Bledisloe Cup clash against the All Blacks in Sydney next Saturday night, with lock Rob Simmons and flanker Michael Hooper the main concerns.

Simmons (pictured), one of the best players in the team's Rugby Championship wins against South Africa and Argentina, arrived home last night with his wrist in a brace after sustaining the injury early in the 34-9 win over the Pumas in Mendoza.

He was able to finish the match after having it strapped at half-time, and if he is cleared would be a certain starter against the All Blacks as Australia tries to claim the Rugby Championship for the first time, and the Bledisloe Cup for the first time since 2003.

Hooper will know tonight whether he is available for the match when he faces a SANZAR judicial hearing on a charge of striking Argentina flyhalf Nicolas Sanchez.
