Walk in hope young William can be found
SADLY today marks 12 months since Kendall three-year-old William Tyrrell disappeared.
In the hope that someone can offer a clue that may help solve the mystery as to what's happened to the small boy, a Walk For William is being held in Coffs Harbour this morning.
One of the organisers for this morning's walk from Coffs Harbour Surf Club to the Jetty Foreshore, Sharon Edman, said it was about offering support as well as hoping a vital clue could be unveiled.
"Someone might see a walk somewhere and think 'this may be completely insignificant but I'll tell the police anyhow' and it could be the turning point," Mrs Edman said.
The Coffs Harbour walk is one of many being held around the country today.
Local walkers are asked to gather at the Surf Club car park from 9.30am and wear something red or blue or Spiderman themed.
The walk to the foreshores starts at 10.30am and once the destination is reached, a family picnic will be held.
The event is not a fundraiser but a show of solidarity to appeal to anyone with information to come forward.
