A DAREDEVIL cat learned what it was like to fly after taking a ride on the wing of an ultra-light aircraft.

A video posted on YouTube shows the cat hanging on to the aircraft's wing for dear life as the pilot and passenger in French Guiana fly along unaware of its presence.

After a few seconds the shocked pilot notices his extra passenger and begins his descent.

The flight came to a happy conclusion with all on board landing safely.

The cat has now been adopted as a mascot by the local flying club.
