Veteran agents combine to market prime Maroochydore site

Two of the region's most experienced agents have joined forces in a bid to sell a commercial property in a prime Maroochydore position.

The two-level 21 Duporth Ave has hit the market, with CBRE Sunshine Coast's Rem Rafter and Stewart and Associates Property's Vicki Stewart tasked with landing a deal.

The 470sq m building offers a lettable area of 235sq m, neighbouring the Big Top Shopping Centre.

Currently vacant, the two tenancies were expected to generate annual rental income of about $75,000.

Mr Rafter said the property, which came with seven carpark spaces behind the building, had potential for redevelopment as a commercial site, or as a residential building.

The CBRE Sunshine Coast managing director said Maroochydore was an area of dramatic growth, adding he'd moved his own office into Duporth Ave last year.

He said the consistent, annual population growth of the Coast, of about 2.5 per cent a year, had spurred plenty of activity.

"As a result, there has been strong buyer interest from local, national and

foreign investors, as well as from Australian institutions," he said.

The Duporth Ave property was being sold by an Expressions of Interest process which was set to close on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at midday.
