1957 Engagement - Adaline Clemson and Bladen Brooke
If you are looking for a fantastic Valentine’s Day story can I suggest you contact my parents (Bladen and Del Brooke) who will celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary this week.

Mum and Dad met on the tennis court in Tamworth and were married in 1958 and will celebrate 60 yrs of marriage on 15th Feb.

About a year ago they relocated to Coffs Harbour to retire and be closer to my brother after living in Tamworth all that time.
Dad was born in Tamworth and mum came to Nemingah as a student teacher – met dad and spent her life in Tamworth too.

They are amazing parents, both did a lot for their community and both were awarded OAM (one of the only couples in Australia to receive this great honour).

They love their new lifestyle in Coffs Harbour and have become involved with the Have a Chat group in Boambee East.
I think it would be lovely to share their 'secrets' for a long successful marriage with the community. They have received two letters that they are saving to open on the 15th – 1 from the prime Minister and I think the other is from the Gov General congratulating them on 60 yrs of marriage.

If you would like to speak to mum and dad to please call them on 0418204888
I tried to add a photo however cant seem to do so however if you would like one please let me know.

Thanking you!

Kind regards,

Kim Mannion
