Upgrades for Jetty foreshores

IF YOU head down to the Coffs Harbour's Jetty and South Wall areas you may notice a few changes.

New seats along the Wayne Glenn Rotary Walk have recently been installed as part of the walkway project and have been positioned to capture views across to Muttonbird Island and the marina.

Southern Jetty Beach access stairs are also under construction as part of Coffs Harbour City Council's open spaces special rate variation works.

The new stairs replace a current rocky access that connects the concrete footpath to a sand track to south Jetty Beach.

The new structure is constructed of more durable fibreglass composite with hardwood post and stainless steel handrails.

The work is designed to be consistent with the recently completed Jetty Walkway and adjacent shower and stairs.

The area will be a hive of activity in coming months as work commences on the next stages of the Jetty4Shores redevelopment.
