Upgrade to Emerald Beach mobile tower to bring quicker speeds

APN PHOTO LIBRARY

4G SERVICES are headed to Emerald Beach with the mobile tower being upgraded during the next few weeks.

The upgrade is expected to deliver superfast mobile internet speeds for customers with compatible 4G mobile phones and tablets, while also enhancing 3G customer experience.

While the upgrade is good news for Optus customers, until the work is completed, they may experience some short-term difficulty.

"As the mobile tower in Emerald Beach is being upgraded, there will be some service interruptions for Optus mobile customers while this essential work is being completed," Optus' NSW state manager, Rick Graham said

"Optus aims to complete these works as quickly as possible in order to keep service interruptions to a minimum.

"We know this may be frustrating, and we thank customers for their patience while the upgrade work is being completed. These upgrades will bring us closer to introducing 4G services to Emerald Beach."
