Flag raising

MACKAY Regional Council will host a flag raising ceremony at the Mackay Regional Council Building on Monday, July 8, from 10am. The Queensland Police Service will also host a flag raising ceremony on Tuesday, July 9, at the Northern Beaches Police Station from 10am.

NAIDOC Craft

CREATE a sand art boomerang, decorate a hand using dot art painting plus more. Dudley Denny City Library will host the event today, July 4, from 10am - 11am. Family Fun Day

THE NAIDOC Family Fun Day, hosted by Mackay NAIDOC Inc, will be held at Queens Park on Friday, July 12, from 10am - 3pm. Plenty of activities including a flag-raising ceremony, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dancing, face painting, jumping castles and Sean Choolburra will be performing.

Indigenous Language Stamping

ARTSPACE will celebrate the United Nations International Year of Indigenous Languages by drawing with language. Bring the family and friends to join the fun with art making activities inspired by Yuwibara language of the Mackay region. The free drop-in event will be held on Monday, July 8, from 10am - 3pm.
