Two out of three for Coffs Coast Chargers

THE Coffs Coast Chargers finished the weekend's Plan B Regional Big Bash with two wins from three matches.

The local side finished its campaign with a 23-run win over the Macquarie Coast Stingers today.

A run-a-ball 38-run knock from J Bellamby set the platform as the Coffs Coast regional rep team set a total of 9/162.

In reply, the Macquarie Coast team fell for 7/139 with T. Adams the pick of the bowlers finishing with 2 for 21.

Earlier today, the Coffs Coast side claimed a 25-run win over the Northern Inland Bolters.

Batting first the home side, racked up a total of 6/156.

J.W Saker topscored with 48, while R.J Gallichan added 46.

The visitors, made a solid start to their innings on the bats of S. Norvill and M Rixon, but after Gallichan sent both packing a mid-order collapse followed.

The Northern Inland side finishing 8/131.

Today's two wins followed a loss yesterday to the Northern Rivers Rock.

The Rock finished with 9/131 in an innings that saw six batsman make starts.

A. Ellis did the damage with the ball finishing with 3 for 22.

In response, the Coffs Coast posted just 98 with Gallichan topscoring with 27.
