Two-car Bruce Highway crash throws chaos into congestion mix

A TWO-car pile-up at Elimbah has thrown chaos into a congestion-packed afternoon on the Bruce Highway.

Thousands of holiday-makers have slowly made their way home in crawling conditions after the Easter long weekend.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics assessed two people at the crash, near Beerburrum Creek at 3.23pm.

One adult woman complained of neck pain and was transported with minor injuries but stable to Caboolture Hospital.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads traffic report shows the right hand lane of the Bruce Highway is blocked.

Lengthy delays are expected southbound towards Brisbane.

Motorists should expect an extra hour of delays to come.
