Two Australian soldiers wounded in Afghanistan

TWO Australian Special Forces soldiers have been injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Helmand Province in Afghanistan. 

The soliders were injured during a patrol on Sunday. Two Afghan National Security Force personell and a coalition soldier were also injured in the incident.

Three other IEDs were also uncovered at the site.

One Australian solider and the coalition soldier were taken to a nearby medical base while the other three soldiers were treated at Tarin Kot.

The families of the injured have been notified of the incident, but the condition of the soldiers is unknown.
