Twenty20 semis begin tomorrow

CRICKET: The business end of the inaugural Twenty20 cricket competition starts tomorrow night when Diggers Ex-Services clash with Sawtell.

The match was originally scheduled to be played tonight but was moved to tomorrow to allow enough time to prepare a wicket at the Coffs Coast Sport and Leisure Park after the public holiday.

At stake in tomorrow evening’s knock out semi-final is a spot in the final to be played on February 10.

Whoever progresses through to the final will face the winner of next week’s semi-final (to be played Wednesday) between Park Beach Bowling Club Colts and Nana Glen.

Tomorrow’s teams:

Diggers Ex-Services – Joe Willman, Ben Gudex, Steve Harris, Glen Kesby, Alex Byrne, Sam Davey, Jordan Symons, Trent Dierick, Sam Anderson, Colin Coombes, Jacob Corlis, Ken Hoad.

Sawtell – Matt Bailey, Dave McCormack, Dave Angus, Michael Oates, Izaac Hillery, Monte Sonter, Matt Campbell, Matt Flynn, Nathan O’Connor, Will Guest, Gus Garland, Phil Crouch.
