Turtles on the Sunshine Coast

Do you know where to spot turtles on the Sunshine Coast? And what to do when you do see them?

There are plenty of opportunities to have a turtle encounter while on the Sunshine Coast. Turte hatchlings emerge from their nests around February and nests are usually hidden among dunes along the coast, from Shelley Beach to Sunshine Beach.

Fortunately, volunteers at Sunshine Coast TurtleCare are passionate about turtles and are around to make sure as many as possible survive.

If you live on the Sunshine Coast or plan on visiting soon and love turtles here are some cool things you should know about turtles
