Truckin' in the tropics: Robert Roveglia
ROBERT Roveglia drives a 1990 Mack Valve Liner for Ingham-based company Long Pocket Earthmoving and transports heavy equipment all over Queensland.
The 37-year-old Robert participated in the Townsville Convoy For Kids on May 21 when Big Rigs spoke to him.
"I go anywhere from Brisbane in the south, to Mount Isa inland and up north and enjoy the job,” he said.
Robert enjoys stopping at the Gold City Roadhouse on the outskirts of Charters Towers and barracks for the Cowboys in the NRL.
His main hobby is fishing in the waters of the Hinchinbrook Channel north of Ingham where there is a plentiful supply of barramundi and grunter fish and mudcrabs.
With Robert at the Convoy For Kids was his four-year-old son Brayden.
Robert had previously worked for Tropic Distributors delivering fuel around the region.
He has been a truckie for 15 years.
