Truckie praised for his helping hand

THE TRUCKING community has praised the efforts of one of its members who did his bit to help during the fire disaster in Queensland by buying sandwiches and cartons of water for volunteers.

Jay Maclachlan said: "A big thanks to this truckie who has gone out and supported many people fighting these fires. Just goes to show little things like this go a long way. Mate you are a legend. Us Queenslanders are so proud to have people like you”.

Russ Martin said this sort of thing puts tears in his eyes.

"You are a fair dinkum Aussie mate and thanks from the bottom of my heart.”

Yvonne Turner congratulated the truckie for his "thoughtfulness”.

"Just go to show that our truckies are awesome people with more thought about things than what they are carrying,” she said.

"Thank you for your generosity.”
