Truck driver ignores police and keeps driving

A B-DOUBLE driver with a suspended licence was caught behind the wheel by police on the Pacific Hwy near Halfway Creek this morning, two hours after he was stopped near Valla and issued with infringement notices.

Police said the interstate truckie was pulled over by officers on the Pacific Hwy near Oyster Creek Rd and spoken to about his logbooks around 6.45am.

The driver was told his licence had been suspended and he was ordered not to drive the white Kenworth prime mover any further.

Police said the b-double was again pulled over on the Pacific Hwy between Coffs Harbour and Grafton just after 9am.

The man was issued with further infringement notices for driving whilst suspended.

Police have been told the truck driver plans to reach Brisbane today.

Highway patrol vehicles in the Coffs Clarence, Richmond and Tweed commands have been alerted to keep an eye out for the heavy vehicle.
