Triple threat for Bellamy in Grafton

COFFS Harbour horseman Brett Bellamy played the role of trainer, owner and breeder with Sequalo's Secret, winner of The Jackal F & M Benchmark 55 HCp (1006m).

The three-year-old filly by Sequalo out of the Lion Cavern mare Secret Cavern, was bred by Bellamy and his wife Julie. They also race the filly with friends.

"We raced the mother but she wasn't much good," Bellamy said.

"She was pretty well bred so we decided to give her a chance at stud.

"The first foal out of her I could have beaten. Fortunately Sequalo's Secret, the second foal, goes a lot better.

"She's done a good job toughing it out today when up in grade."

Sequalo's Secret made it back to back wins after winning at her second race start at Ballina on April 29.
