Treasure hounds off the leash at Raleigh

THE Bowerhouse Reuse Shop in Raleigh will be front and centre this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, during National Recycling Week.

Open from 8.30am, the centre is a great place to find a bargain or donate unwanted, pre-loved treasures for others to buy, while keeping still valuable items out of landfill.

Residents in Bellingen Shire Council areas may visit The Bowerhouse this weekend to be in the draw for a $50 voucher to spend on a great selection of quality recycled and second hand items including books, CDs, furniture, household items and clothing.

The shop also accepts unwanted but reusable items during opening hours of the Raleigh Waste Management Centre - open every day but Tuesdays.

Planet Ark's National Recycling Week, running through to this Sunday, highlights the environmental benefits of reuse and recycling programs while making participation enjoyable and easy through community events and programs.
