Training awards taking entries

THE search is on to find the North Coast's best trainees, apprentices, vocational students and employers for 2011.

Entries are now open for the prestigious NSW Training Awards in 2011.

Netpac chairwoman Ingrid Hughes said the local area had consistently performed well, with State and national winners in 2010.

“This proves that employers, students and training organisations are working hard to address the regional skills shortage and are keen to showcase the great job being done at many levels on the North Coast,” she said.

The North Coast region has 12 award categories, including Apprentice of the Year, Trainee of the Year, School Based Apprentice/Trainee of the Year, VET Trainer/Teacher of the Year and Employer of the Year.

Applications close on March 25. For eligibility criteria visit www.training.nsw.gov.au.
