Traffic advisory for Hwy upgrade

ROADS and Maritime Services (RMS) is advising motorists of changed traffic conditions this week for the Sapphire to Woolgoolga Pacific Highway upgrade.

Speed limits will be reduced and short delays may be experienced at the certain sites to allow trucks to access the work site, for installation of traffic barriers, tree clearing and for work next to the highway.

Sapphire to Emerald Beach

Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5pm and Saturday between 8am and 5pm for southbound traffic near Bucca Road, Moonee Beach

Saturday from 8am to 4pm for northbound traffic between Wakelands Road and MacCues Road, Moonee Beach.

Emerald Beach to Woolgoolga

Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5pm and Saturday between 8am and 1pm from the southern intersection of Graham Drive with the Pacific Highway, Sandy Beach to Fiddaman Road, Emerald Beach

Tuesday from 9am to 11am for northbound traffic near the northern intersection of Graham Drive with the Pacific Highway, Woolgoolga.

Woolgoolga to Arrawarra

Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 4.30pm and Saturday between 8am and 5pm near Arrawarra Beach Road, Arrawarra.

Wet weather may change work dates and times.

Traffic management and reduced speed limits will be in place where needed to ensure the safety of workers, motorists and other road users.

Motorists are advised to plan their journey, allow extra travel time and obey all signs.
