Total value of NSW land up 19.6% in just one year

NEW South Wales land values are now tipping more than $1.34 trillion after increasing 19.6% in just a year.

The Auditor-General's new figures reveal the North Coast performed strongly in the review - especially Byron Shire, with a 17.85% increase to reach a median residential land value of $118,000.

But Sydney suburbs Blacktown (+47%), Parramatta (+35.9%) and Holroyd (+28%) recorded the strongest growth of any local government areas.
