Top races on cards for Hard As

HORSE RACING: A future in the higher echelons of the sport and on Sydney tracks is on the cards for the David Vandyke-trained Hard As following two dominant victories this month.

The filly charged across the line first during the 1200m Two-years-old Maiden Plate at Corbould Park yesterday.

It followed on from a solid victory at Doomben earlier this month and now Vandyke is weighing up whether to further test the talents of Hard As.

"She was very impressive but we're not really sure where we sit in the big scheme of things as far as ability goes,” Vandyke said.

"(But) Pending her recovery, our next move might be to head to Sydney for some stakes racing down there.

"It's the right time of year to get her a chance in better grades. So there's a bit to think about.”
