Toormina Post Office takes out award

TOORMINA is officially the number one place to post, now that Toormina Post Office has been named the best in country NSW.

Australia Post's licensed post office awards are delivered annually to encourage and recognise the work of the corporation's 900 licensees in NSW/ACT.

Toormina Post Office licensees John Martin and Judy Dodd took out the honour of the best stand-alone outlet against stiff competition from more than 450 other licensees in Australia Post's country retail network.

Australia Post retail manager Russell Rarney said Toormina stood out from the crowd during an extensive review into shop presentation, business performance and customer service.

“Toormina residents should be proud,” Mr Rarney told the Coffs Coast Advocate.

Martin said he and his wife worked hard to make the store special.

“We have ambitions to be the best licensed post office in Australia,” he said.

“We try to offer personalised service on every occasion and ensure our store is well stocked with the products our local customers are after.”

Toormina Post Office will now move forward to compete against the winning stand-alone outlets from the other states for the title of the best country outlet in Australia.
