Toormina businesses hit by break-ins

POLICE were kept busy in Toormina over the weekend, with a number of businesses bearing the brunt of outlandish behaviour.

Some time on Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning, people gained entry to the Toormina Community Preschool and climbed onto the the shade sail of the facility, which then collapsed. They also damaged the roof of the toy shed and scattered toys around the yard.

At the Busy Bee Shopping Centre, Mitre 10 was broken into, with unknown person/s breaking into the storage shed of the facility and stealing a large quantity of PVC piping. The person/s also climbed onto the roof of the store.

Centro Toormina also fell victim to vandals, with a number of plants and small trees ripped from gardens and strewn across the car park.
