Toilets a disgrace

THE STATE of public toilets in the Coffs Harbour City Council car park in Park Avenue has been described as a disgrace to a tourist city by Cr Rodney Degens.

At Thursday’s council meeting, Cr Degens persuaded his fellow councillors to investigate replacing the existing toilets with the self-cleaning and graffiti-resistant models which were displayed at the 2010 Local Government and Shires Association Conference.

Cr Degens also asked that the report to be brought back to the council include an investigation into providing babies change tables in the toilets.
