LONG MARRIAGE: John and Norma Pink will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary today.

Together 60 years and set to celebrate with family, friends

JOHN and Norma Pink met at a barn dance at the Grafton Showground in 1954, and were married soon after, on the first day of the new year - January 1, 1955 - at the Grafton Methodist Church.

After a two week honeymoon on the Gold Coast, they settled down in the Clarence Valley until 1974, when they moved to Woolgoolga, and continue to reside.

Marking their 60th anniversary this year, John and Norma had six children: Dorothy, Steven (deceased), Marlene, Annette, Jennifer, and Daniel, who in turn gave them 17 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

They both remain active, with Norma knitting for the Westmead Children's Cancer Hospital, and John continuing to work in his timber hauling business.

They are also both active members of their church.

John and Norma celebrate their diamond anniversary today at their daughter's property in Karangi.
